Welcome
to Dyslexia Wales
The
Dyslexia Wales course helps solve learning problems encountered
by dyslexics. The course empowers both adults and children
with dyslexia to take personal responsibility for their
learning process. The Dyslexia Wales method does not rely
on costly drugs, machinery or appliances. The course addresses
the
core difficulties and
releases the latent talents of dyslexic people.
The
Dyslexia Wales course is an interactive process which relies
on the commitment, participation and involvement of both parties
to develop a successful working partnership to overcome the
learning difficulties associated with dyslexia and similar conditions,
such as dyspraxia, dysphasia, dyscalculia, bedwetting, hyperactivity,
and attention deficit disorder.
Progress
on the Dyslexia Wales course is relatively quick. A dyslexic
can work through the programme in 30 hours and then go on to
complete the home course in a matter of months. This means that
dyslexics are not dependent upon long term support.
The
5 day Dyslexia Wales course (which can straddle a weekend) is
followed by a development day some weeks later. It entails working
one-to-one with a tutor who empowers the client to follow a different
approach to learning. Some difficulties including maths, handwriting
and bedwetting may require another course.
The assessment is free and takes between one and three hours.
It identifies the client's concerns and whether the client has
the talent for visual thinking.
